After gathering inspiration and identifying what worked well in others’ portfolios, I began shaping the foundation of my own. I asked myself: What do I want people to feel when they land here? What’s the most important thing they should take away?
From those questions, I defined a few guiding principles:
Clarity over complexity Every element should serve a purpose and be easy to navigate.
Personal without being noisy The site should reflect my personality in a subtle, intentional way.
Case studies as the core The work needed to be front and center, with just enough context to invite exploration.
These ideas informed everything from the page structure and tone of voice to the color palette and typography. Rather than overdesign, I focused on just enough—a clean, focused space that lets the work speak.
